History

We have accompanied employees and entrepreneurs in matters related to foreign finance and international business for over 24 years. Since the beginning of mass movements abroad in the purpose of gained employment, we advised our clients on how to find themselves in the new political and economic reality in Europe as well as on how to make money during foreign travels. Assisting employees, entrepreneurs, investors and companies in various industries, we have gained enormous experience and valuable contacts all over the world. Over this period, entire generations of various nationalities have used our services and we have created an incredible history of the company and all its entities on an international arena. K&W Kanzlei, Kancelaria K&W, KOMMERZ and Football Invest – since the beginning operating in Germany and neighbouring countries, till their fast development in Poland and countries of Central Europe, through the southern, northern and eastern part of the European continent, till the intercontinental projects in America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Building the company from scratch, with titanic effort and care for every single element of development, in 2019 we achieved the level that by far exceeds our initial plans. Today the company is a rapidly developing business, highly successful on foreign markets, with a grounded position among its clients and excellent credentials.

1996 The beginning and creation of a scientific base

On 10th July 1996 during business conference taking place in Heidelberg – the city famous for one of the best and the oldest universities in Europe – a decision is made on establishing a professional company that would provide comprehensive assistance to the Polish population working in Germany, running business activity on the German market or conducting economic transactions with German trade partners. Different legal systems, different rules that govern finance, taxes, accounting and payroll abroad, other mentality of foreign business partners and changing economic conditions as well as new markets and new possibilities on foreign markets resulted in arising of our clients’ numerous needs for the support provided by competent, reliable and unfailing specialists, on whom one can fully rely – at all times and under all circumstances! Many years ago this became a basis for the establishment of our company as a business partner to foreign companies in Poland as well as a partner of Polish individuals and companies operating abroad.

1997 – 1999 Bringing the first foreign companies to Poland and assisting the Poles in Germany

Very good business contacts with German and Dutch enterprises, employers and employment agencies offering legal employment in Germany and the Netherlands result in the fact that thanks to our engagement the first branches of West-European employment agencies are established in Southern Poland. The assistance at transferring foreign businesses to the territory of Poland becomes priceless. Due to huge losses suffered by households in result of the great flood which in 1997 devastated Southern Poland, a number of people interested in undertaking gainful employment abroad suddenly increases in the territory of Upper and Lower Silesia and, first of all, in Opole Silesia. Market situation contributes to the fact that bringing foreign employers to Poland becomes one of the key tasks. A real boom for gainful employment abroad results in the fact that the individuals of German origin want to acquire German citizenship which would allow them to undertake legal work in the countries of the old European Union. Administrative support provided to the Polish people undertaking employment on the German construction and industry markets as well as to the agents organising the work abroad constitute the first stage of acquiring clients for services related to working abroad. Through acting for the largest groups of Polish employees in Germany, a period of brand building is started, which will constitute a permanent element of the stories of gainful employment undertaken in the countries of Western Europe. During this period professional researches concerning the activity of business entities and their functioning in the economic reality appear. Particular emphasis is put on the establishment and running of limited liability companies which operate in the territory of Poland and Germany.

2000 Establishing a tax centre in Cologne

In order to provide professional, competent and fast services to our customers a tax centre is opened in Cologne, which until the present day gathers outstanding German specialists in the field of finance, taxes, law and economics. The first German specialists in the field of international finance come to Poland in order to examine the Polish market from an angle of providing professional services for employees hired in Germany as well as for employers and companies operating on the German market. The preparations for opening the offices in Poland result in selecting places for their location and signing the first rental agreements. The city of Cologne has been an important centre in the company’s activity till the present day. All German tax reports are directed from Cologne to relevant tax institutions in Germany, which guarantees the highest quality of performed services. For years we have also supported charity campaigns helping children in this city.

Initially situated at Wrocławska street in Dobrzeń Wielki near Opole, over a short time it wins numerous satisfied clients, who make the company famous in the territory of Upper and Lower Silesia as well as in the Opole Silesia. The employees hired on contracts in Germany become the first individual clients of the company. Its first corporate clients are entrepreneurs establishing and running their businesses in Germany. In the same year the company’s activity is extended into the Dutch market, where close cooperation undertaken with numerous tax consultants, attorneys, banks and financial institutions in Venlo and Heerlen added to the company’s portfolio of services. Over the time, the company expanded its contacts by the largest Dutch cities, in which today – particularly in Amsterdam – it possesses a network of proven and effective collaborators. The Netherlands has been an important market since the very beginning. The first Dutch employment agencies were established in Poland at the end of 1990s; since 2001 their activity stretched to Southern Poland, and since 2007 to entire territory of Poland. A large number of Poles used to go to work in the Netherlands and they have been served on the Dutch market by Kancelaria K&W till the present day.

The cooperation conducted with the offices located in the capital cities of the above countries: in Prague, Bratislava and Budapest allowed to open a department serving Czech, Slovak and Hungarian clients. After the enlargement of the European Union in 2004, the employees of K&W Kanzlei participated in seminars devoted to finance and in business meetings taking part in the centre of Prague. The contacts with international companies established in Czechia allowed us to win foreign investors, who – thanks to us – entered the Polish market. We started cooperation with dr Schaffer – management board member of AGN International, one of the largest consulting organisations in the world.

Accession of new member states to the European Union resulted in mass employee emigration to the countries of the old European Union, which resulted in further development of the company. On 4th May 2004 new services are introduced related to obtaining foreign family benefits and tax returns from Great Britain. The cooperation with tax offices in London is also commenced. The company has provided services for limited liability companies (Ltd) operating on the German market until the present day. This period is characterized by increased activeness of dynamic Spanish construction companies on the German market as well as huge interest of investors from Spain in commercial real estate in Poland. In Balearic Islands the prices of land, holiday mansions, houses and flats rise quickly and German investors are more and more interested in purchasing football clubs.
